Gestion, conservation et restitution de la documentation archéologique

Abstract

Concerned about the access to the scientific documentation, the SRA Alsace developed since 2006 a global management system of its documentation. Finalized in association with the regional partners, this one includes an inventory tool of the archives of excavation (AFX) and the furniture (MobX), as well as a mutualized consultation database , Pléade. Built according the same structure, module AFX and MobX offer at first an orientation for the head of operation either in the recording or in the inventory of the furniture and the documentation, and supply homogeneous data towards the SRA. They allow secondly a consultation and a transverse interrogation of the inventories thanks to the database Pléade - into which are also included other document types (digital reports, notes BSR, etc.). In parallel can be mentionned the question of the long-term preservation of the data, in particular digital (storage, format). As far as the consultation of collections is concerned, the future regional CCE will not only preserve the archaeological furniture, but also a digital copy of the documentation related to it. It will appear, towards the horizon of 2015, as a unique place of the access to the regional documentation.
