The aim of this article is to introduce the reader to the analysis of the spatial and visual perception of an architectural work using for it a methodology developed in the last few decades. Starting from the concept of isovist, that is, the visible region from a given location of an architectural plan, this methodology is based, on one hand, on the interpretation of some measures associated with the geometry of isovists; and, on the other hand, on the analysis of specic parameters of the so-called visibility graph, that is, the graphof intervisible locations. The use of this methodology allows the integration of Mathematics in transversal nature subjects included in the plans of studies in Architecture.
