This article proposes a comparative analysis of productive performance in the Moroccan agricultural and manufacturing industries sector, over the period 1986-2012, using the Malmquist index. The obtained results show that the gain reached in terms of productivity in both sectors is mainly due to the improvement registered in the technical effectiveness rather than being due to the technological progression. Nevertheless, the total factors productivity (TFP) score in the agricultural sector is by far better than the TFP score in the industrial sector. Thus, the former sector exhibits important gains in terms of productivity with respect to the latter one. Furthermore, the contribution of sectorial productivities in the growth of the real Moroccan GDP generally remains very low in the studied period.
