La répartie : place et enjeux dans les Discours des misères de ce temps de Pierre de Ronsard

Abstract

In his Responce aux injures et calomnies des predicans et ministres de Geneve sur son Discours et Continuation des misères de ce temps (1563), Ronsard promises to hide nothing of his life when he begins his response to Bernard de Montméja on a few points on regarding. The lie thus becomes unthinkable in the Responce. He is forcefully pushed back. But should we believe everything Ronsard says in his polemic against Protestants? Are not the attestation formulas in his Responce a rhetorical artifice? Should we also see the Huguenots as Ronsard tries to show them? It is around these questions that this study on the repartee in the Discours des misères de ce temps is articulated.
