EXPERIENCIAS, AGENCIA E INFANCIAS: UN CAMPO DE DEBATES
Abstract
Abstract This publication resumes the advances of an ongoing research and proposes to theoretically address the classical dichotomy structure subject from a sociological perspective, with the intention of discussing some theoretical-methodological positions that allow to analyze the agency and the experiences of the infancy of the popular classes. It is argued that childhood construction is traversed by social relations that reproduce social inequalities of class and age, but these processes are not total since children find possibilities of agency, according to practices, identities and specific relationships, to go re-meaning their conditions of existence and subordination.By means of the concepts of agency and experience that are discussed in this work, without pretensions of closed definitions, it is explained at a theoretical level that the practices and meanings that the infants of popular classes do not reproduce the adult and dominant order, but re-produce it according to specific symbolizations, values and affectivities. Child agency, which may be dispositional or involve a certain state of consciousness, shows how children "solve" (materially and symbolically) their living spaces, from heterogeneous practices that enable challenges to the established order, without necessarily "breaking" with hegemonic relations between groups. Keywords: Agency, experiences, lessons-popular childhoods.
