Bibliothekarische Studienangebote an der Hochschule der Medien Stuttgart (HdM)

Abstract

On the one hand, the article describes the new Bachelor‘s degree programme “Library and digital information” (previously: “Information sciences”) at Stuttgart Media University, which will be launched in the winter semester 2024/25. Established basic principles such as project-based studying in the higher semesters have been retained, but the profile has been sharpened with respect to libraries. A short track version takes into account the needs of students with completed training as „Fachangestellte für Bibliotheks- und Informationsdienste“. There are now also students who are completing the degree programme in a contractual relationship with a library. On the other hand, the programme at Master‘s level is discussed, where interested persons can either take individual modules or obtain a full Master‘s degree.
