SCIENTIFIC MEETING OF THE NEPHROPATHY COMMITEE OF THE ARGENTINE SOCIETY OF DIABETES. UPDATE OF CHRONIC RENAL DISEASE IN DIABETIC PATIENTS

Abstract

On April 29 of this year the Committee of Nephropathy of the Argentine Diabetes Society (SAD) met in a day that arose in view of the need for an update on chronic kidney disease (CKD) in patients with type 1 and 2 diabetes ( DM1 and DM2), where the following topics were addressed: pathophysiology, epidemiology, detection, definition, diagnosis, developmental stages, aspects for follow-up, pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment of diabetes, management of dyslipoproteinemia, hypertension and osteopathy associated with CKD.
