This essay investigates Eryk Rocha’s aesthetic and political proposal,in the film Rocha que voa, that appropriates the images and the sounds of American Latin Cinema in the 1960/70. This essay also investigates the use of the cinematic archive in the documentary and the act of montage that involves a perception not only of the memory of the Latin American Cinema, but a specific perception of the quotation reworked in order to bring together the force of the original film and at the same time the impact of its heterogeneous elements.
