Effect of using Hydroalcoholic Extract of Indian Ginseng compared with Vitamin E on some semen Characteristics of white Rabbits

The study was conducted at the University of Kirkuk / College of Agriculture in the fields of theDepartment of Animal Production to study the effect of water-alcoholic extract of Indian ginsengroots and vitamin E on the semen characteristics of white male rabbits.As 20 rabbits aged 5-6months were randomly divided into four treatments, five rabbits for each treatment, the firsttreatment rabbits (control group) were left without any dosing, the second treatment was dosedwith aqueous alcoholic extract of Indian ginseng root at a dose of 200 mg/kg/day, the thirdtreatment Dosing with aqueous alcoholic extract of Indian ginseng root at a dose of 400 mg/kg/day,fourth treatment with Vitamin E at a dose of 400 mg/kg/day . The second, third and fourthtreatments had a significant increase over the control group in improving ejaculate volume, spermconcentration, and group and individual movement of sperm, which was offset by a significantdecrease in the percentages of dead and distorted sperms in all months of the study. We concludefrom this study that dosing with aqueous alcohol extract of Indian ginseng and vitamin E has theability to improve the semen characteristics of white male rabbits
