development of modern organizations raised the question of the existence of certain rules that are common for specific organizations, as well as the question whether every organization ( just like every society) has its own organizational or corporate culture. Corporate culture associates its basic values with its employees. It develops an environment that encourages creativity and innovation, improves communication among employees, creates and nourishes the sense of satisfaction and fulfillment due to the high quality of performed tasks. It represents a system of assumptions, beliefs and values, developed and adopted by members of an organization through common experience, which at the same time defines their thinking and behavior. As for Serbia, relatively bigger and faster changes in terms of corporate culture can possibly be expected in the process of accession of Serbia to the European Union. In the context of these changes, we can expect to see the western system of management to be implemented, but its performance and success depends on the level and quality of adaptation to the cultural characteristics of Serbia.
