This project intends to present the Informe España’s perspective regarding the Spanish territorial problem. These studies have addressed the question in two ways: analysing the functioning of the territorial model and analysing the perception that the citizens have of it. Following this logic, the current essay takes into consideration both the initial objectives of the model and the response given by it; examining the autonomic financing and institutional imitation/ patronage as the most fundamental problems. Subsequently, the essay focuses on the question of the civic opinion —a fundamental source of the research in the Informe España study– and a growing support for the territorial model can be seen until 2010. The interference of the political elites is considered as one of the reasons for the decrease of that support since 2010. Consequently, there is a thorough analysis of this question.
