Alla scoperta della democrazia nell'Ossola liberata - The Creation of Democracy in the Liberated Zone of Val d’Ossola

Abstract

On 11 September 1944 Mario Bonfantini becomes one of the protagonists of the most significant episodes in the history of the Italian Resistance, as a member of the provisional Government of Domodossola and the Liberated Zone. The essay analyzes Bonfantini’s role in the creation of democracy in Val d’Ossola, from his position as responsible for relations with the Military Authority, to his nomination as press commissioner.
