El memorialismo de Joaquim Nabuco. Recursos literarios, fines históricos
Abstract
The memorialist work of Joaquim Nabuco, compiled in the 1890s, after the overthrow of monarchic Brazil and the establishment of a republic without citizens (Carvalho 2002: 13), traverses the political experience of the second reign (1841-1889). To do this, he uses the political life of his father and, then, his own. Articulating a text in which ethics and aestheticsmerge, Nabuco writes the classic My Formationusing all the literary resources, but for historical purposes.
