In this paper, first, a conceptual approach to the figure of the teacher, throughout history, the teaching profession and analyzing the requirements to be met by any occupation to be considered a true profession and exposing the features that confer the status of the teaching profession. Second, due to the implementation of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), review the competences to be achieved by students in Grades Teacher to be considered a professional education from technical and policy perspective.
