METODE DEMONSTRASI PADA PEMBELAJARAN PAI (Studi Kasus Materi Penyembelihan Hewan dan Pengurusan Jenazah)

Abstract

Abstract: It is important for a teacher to choose a right approach and method for teaching a material in their subject. By right choosing approach and method, the learning process will be conducted effectively, the students get suitable learning experiences and the learning competencies can be reached.The goal of this study is to know the benefits of teaching material of PAI especially about animal slaughter for Grade 9 of SMP Al-Muhafizhoh and corpse care for Grade 12 of SMK Islam Blitar city using demonstration method. This study is not only searching about the benefits, but also the applying process and the obstacles. This study is conducted by qualitative design. The data is collected by observation, interview and documentation. This study shows that there are positive impacts of applying demonstration method for teaching PAI especially aboout animal slaughter and corpse care. The students could understand and memorize the material or concept easily. They get a complex learning experience, not only reading the material, but all of their sensories are involved. Whole process demonstration is applied to both of objects. There are some princips to apply demonstration methode well, they are about plan and preparation, application and evaluation. About the obstacle, teacher must be aware of media and cost. Abstrak: Pentingnya pertimbangan dalam memilih pendekatan dan metode dalam pembelajaran, menjadi aspek yang harus diperhatikan oleh seorang guru dalam mengajarkan sebuah materi sehingga tercapai pembelajaran yang efektif, memberi pengalaman belajar dan tercapai kompetensi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui manfaat dari penerapan metode demonstrasi pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam khususnya pada materi penyembelihan hewan pada kelas IX SMP Al-Muhafizhoh dan Pengurusan Jenazah pada kelas XII SMK Islam Kota Blitar. Tujuan selanjutnya adalah untuk mengetahui proses penerapan metode demonstrasi serta kendala yang muncul. Jenis penelitian yang diterapkan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara serta dokumentasi. Dengan melaksanakan penelitian ini, diperoleh fakta bahwa dengan penerapan metode demonstrasi, memberi dampak positif terhadap capaian pembelajaran. Siswa lebih mudah mengingat materi dan memperoleh kesempatan untuk melihat, mengamati serta terlibat langsung dalam kegiatan demonstrasi sesuai materi serta mendapatkan pengalaman belajar yang lebih lengkap. Tipe demonstrasi yang diterapkan adalah demonstrasi seluruh proses.Selain itu diperoleh gambaran hal-hal yang prinsip dalam penerapan metode demonstrasi meliputi persiapan, kontrol dan evaluasi serta kendala-kendala yang harus diantisipasi, baik berupa media maupun biaya.
