In this article, we analyze some of the theoretical and methodological decisions adopted to build a Doctoral dissertation, which was presented and defended within the Doctoral Program in Social Sciences of FLACSO Argentina, whose academic rewriting concluded with the publication of a book entitled ‘State, School and Community in neoliberal Argentina (1993-2001): the discursive configuration of a national education policy” (Prohistoria, 2019). In addition, some of the main findings of this study are presented: the contributions to the field of Social Sciences (with a focus on educational issues); and the positions on education policies designed by the National State to decentralize the approach to community demands through co-management of the school-third sector in the 1990s and early 2000s.
