Organizational commitment, cynicism, alienation and forestry organizations
Abstract
Structure of forestry organizations, managers, legislation and accordingly forestry practices change frequently. The previously mentioned aspects carry many negative and positive effects on organizations and workers. This article focuses on the effects of certain factors occupying public opinion on forestry on the facts of organizational commitment, cynicism is the negative attitude workers develop towards the organization they work in and alienation is becoming distanced from corporate values and society due to cynicism. Questionnaires were filled out with 530 forest engineers under the scope of this study. According to the research findings, problems relating to current organizational structures, inadequate employment, disregarding qualifications during assignments and promotions, unfair rotation practices, excessive workload in workplaces, problems relating to time management, insufficient pay and social opportunities affect the sense of belonging and organizational commitment of forest engineers negatively. This, in turn, leads to cynicism and alienation in companies which is extremely dangerous for companies.
