The complex dynamics of a newly proposed 4D hyperchaotic Lorenz-type system are studied in this paper. The sufficient conditions for the emergence and stability of periodic solutions at bifurcation points are derived using averaging theory. The ultimate boundedness of the proposed system is also established.
