Representaciones Sociales y Prácticas de Consumo del Éxtasis

Abstract

We analyse the consumption of extasi by the youths in night clubs in Buenos Aires. To fulfill this aim, we conducted a survey with a close and open questions questionnaire in a sample of 200 youth who assist to raves and discos. As it was observed, a main characteristic of the night practices of these youths is circulation, being in constant move. The consumption of extasi is related to this aim and to the fact that it grants certain characteristics of distinction and selectiveness sought by those who consume it.
