This article presents the developments of the "Radio and Theater: from writing to orality" Project, funded by the "More Culture in Schools" Program, in 2014, at the State School Professora Adalgisa de Barros, in Várzea Grande/MT. It aims to bring to the academic scene the observations and discussions that emerged from this period and is justified insofar as it seeks to socialize the transformative possibilities that art can generate, since, according to the PCN of the Secondary School (1999), students can to discover a plurality of cultural and political interference in these cultural manifestations. Thus, based on folkcommunication, we consider the school a privileged place for local development and the empowerment of marginalized youth. In this context, the theater can play an important role.
