Abstract

In this article, the authors analyze the creation of a partnership, and how it developed itself from various perspectives: contractual, organizational and methodological. Then they explain how this result is due to a mutual socialization, between cooperation and conflicts of interpretation. They then present several difficulties they met and the solutions they found so that this coproduction remained actual throughout all stages of the process – from the definition of the themes for the seminars to the writing of books – including the practical organization and production of books. Finally, they observe that one of the conditions of success of such an interactive and contractual partnership is doubtless the fact that it was exclusively centered on the production of historic knowledge, without any aim of transformation, although, for the organizations there are effects on the representation of their own history.
