Social representations about the student training itineraries of an institute of higher education from Posadas city (Misiones)
Abstract
It is a mixed study, whose main objective is to infer the social representations that the advanced students of the Institution have about their educational trajectories. The qualitative work was carried out through the technique of interviews to focus groups formed in total by students of different technical or teaching careers of this institution. Within the qualitative aspect, data were collected from key informants, in this case, three members of the Psycho-pedagogical Service of the Institute through open and indepth interviews. The quantitative data were obtained by taking a representative sample of 169 (one hundred and sixty-nine) fourth year students of different careers, through a Lickert-type attitudinal scale. The general analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data reveals positive representations about the Institution regarding academic organization and infrastructure, giving it characteristics of containment and protection. On the other hand, the evaluation modalities and teaching methodologies have been accepted as conducive to learning. Whereas, the situations of examination have been recognized, in both studies, as situations generating high anxiety loads.
