THE ROLE OF STEREOTYPES IN THE DISCOURSE OF SELF-PRESENTATION IN FRENCH PERSONALS
Abstract
The articles focuses on the analysis of the personals found in French newspapers and Internet sources. The role of stereotypes in the production of the discourse of self-presentation is studied. The connection between the stereotypical statement and its impact on the addressee is described.
