A LIDERANÇA EMPREENDEDORA NAS PEQUENAS E MÉDIAS INSTITUIÇÕES DE ENSINO SUPERIOR PRIVADAS
Abstract
The present study aims to propose and validate a concept of scale for measuring the Entrepreneurial Leadership in small and medium private Higher Education Institutions, from the perspective of organizational models discussions. It is an empirical research with a descriptive-quantitative approach, initiated from a literature review to identify the indicator used on the operationalization of Entrepreneurial Leadership. Thus emerged the proposal of a scale to measure the Entrepreneurial Leadership, which was validated through a process involving specialists’ reviews, using the coefficient of content validity, pretest survey, and statistical analysis of internal consistency and discriminant validity, field research to a sample of 161private directors PMIES the State of São Paulo. All data were subjected to exploratory factor analysis with confirmatory purpose, providing adjustments, and finally, the validity of the scale, which became a model for measuring the Entrepreneurial Leadership, consolidated as a one-dimensional construct (α = 0.90). It was implemented for six variables, which are presented in this article.
