Abstract

Seed Capital market in Poland is still developing. Pomeranus Seed Fund and its experiences is an example demonstrating that there is a constant need to educate and mobilize of people, public bodies and companies to develop on the basis of innovation. It is essential to break barriers, which suppress innovative ventures, especially when different support schemes and financing sources are available. New EU programs will certainly increase possibilities for financing of innovative ventures by seed capital funds. Taking advantage of new opportunities, seed capital funds can become one of the major links activating capability of innovation creation of people and enterprises.
