Interacciones hospedero-parásito
Abstract
The interaction host-parasite plays an important role in the evolution of infectious diseases. This article seeks to analize this interaction from the point of view of the host, in relation to immune response including the concepts of T1 and T2 responses in front of the microorganismo T1 and T2 responses are clearer in infections like leprosy and its relation to the evolution of the diseases but it is n 't clear yet how an individual responds to one or the other which means cure or disease. ln Herpes simplex infections, although the role of the T1 and T2 responses is not so straight-forward so is the role of some cytokines in the primary infection, latency and reactivation. Finally, in Criptococcus neofonnans infections, the immune response with T1 profile is associated with the control of the infections, although the microorganism characteristics are related to the evolution of the infection.
