A REESTRUTURAÇÃO DAS LICENCIATURAS: alguns princípios, propostas e (pré)condições institucionais
Abstract
This article sums up a group of Education professors' concern about teacher education in Brazilian Universities in recent years, as the Universities were forced to implement the National Curriculum Guidelines for Teacher Education. Grounding the discussion in the conception of teachers as intellectuals, in the compromise between school education and knowledge to put interpretation on individuals and the world, and in the University-School partnership, the article points up proposals for a new teacher education curriculum, including graduate student selection, practicum strategies, disciplines, workshops and projects. The put forward proposals presuppose changes of the University working conditions, by creating new institutional instances such as Teacher Education Boards, Practicum Centers, and Instructional Laboratories. Moreover, the professionalization of University-School relations should also be taken seriously to improve teacher education programs.
