Korean education as a field of study:selection of curricular contents
Abstract
South Korea has proven to be consistent in its long-term vision in a process of dynamic, sustainable and equitable development that attracts attention in the international sphere. This Asian country offers numerous experiences of social cohesion and educational achievement in a moment of deep social, cultural and economic changes. This work presents a selection of contents for future educational programs that seek to address the field of Korean education, from a multidimensional and phenomenological gaze. As a result, we present eight thematic units and diverse contents enabling a conceptual understanding of the Korean education system. We suggest including these contents in a comprehensive curriculum development that responds the needs of educational institutions.
