Strokes are one of the most frequent reasons of population disability, that’s why rehabilitation of post-stroke patients is an urgent medical and social problem of modern healthcare system. In a considerable share of patients affected by stroke various disturbances of the higher psychic functions develop, including attention deficit, memory reduction, deceleration of thinking and quickness of psychic processes, up to dementia development. This aspect of stroke consequences is downplayed, at the same time CD to a great share predetermine the outcome of rehabilitation measures and the quality of the patient life. The article considers modern approaches to diagnostics and principles of therapy of moderate cognitive disturbances of vascular genesis.
