Fire and seismic risk perception at Lisbon University – Faculty of Letters

Abstract

The aim of the research is to find spatial awareness and safety procedures in hypothetical earthquake and fire situations of the faculty’s users. The results show users do not know what to do if an earthquake (33%) or fire (11%) occurs and 60% are not aware of any safety equipment or where the meeting point is.
