The article describes the methodological subcompetency of the future teacher of French in the formation of professionally oriented grammatical competence. Based on the analysis of features of professionally oriented grammatical competence of future teachers of French and goals, that are implemented by the teacher in the process of its formation. The author defines methodological knowledge, skills and abilities that should be mastered by the students for efficient professionalmethodical activity in the formation of the specified competencies.
