Low-carbon operation method of microgrid considering carbon emission quota trading
Abstract
With the proposal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, distributed energy is developing rapidly, and microgrid is widely proposed and utilized to realize flexible and efficient application of distributed energy and improve its local consumption. But with the problem of large amounts of carbon emissions generated by the microgrid arises, it is significant to stimulate the carbon reduction potential of microgrids. This paper proposes a low-carbon operation method of microgrid considering carbon emission quota trading, where energy-carbon coupling units, i.e., distributed generator (DG) and industrial loads, are considered, and based on which microgrid utility model considering carbon emission quota trading is constructed. Simulation results shows adding carbon emission quota trading with energy trading can not only obtain higher revenue of MG, but also achieve the purpose of guiding MG to actively participate in carbon emission reduction actions, and reduce the carbon emission of MG.
