COMPARATIVE STUDY OF TREATMENT OF NON-SURGICAL PERIODONTAL DISEASE: SRP & LASER THERAPY VS. PLASMA

Abstract

The purpose of this study is the comparative interpretation of the results obtained in the non-surgical treatment of the periodonal disease with the help of SRP, diode laser therapy and plasma autologous. The aim was to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of the treatment with autologous plasma enriched with growth factors (PRG-F) as an adjunct to SRP and laser therapy. In total, 35 patients were involved (19 males and 16 females) divided into two lots. The first batch was treated with SRP and laser, and the second with SRP, laser and plasma. Controls were from two in two weeks (3 months), and they indicated a more marked reduction in the periodonal pockets deeps at those who also benefited of plasma.
