Quimiguia: development and validation of an app to support the chemistry teaching-learning process in undergraduation

This research presents the development and validation of the Quimiguia App. The Quimiguia App is an app for mobile devices developed with the aim of be a tool to support the teaching-learning process of concepts related to chemistry for undergraduate students who have curricular components related to chemistry in their curriculum. The App was developed and validated by specialists and undergraduates who evaluated it in terms of technical and pedagogical aspects. During the validation, students also solved chemistry tasks, with the app’s help, reaching an average percentage of 78% correct answers per question. Specialists and undergraduates rated the app positively regarding all evaluated aspects and considered the Quimiguia App a tool that can contribute to the teaching-learning process of concepts related to chemistry in Undergraduation. It can be used for consultation, review and/or reinforcement of basic concepts.
