The retrospective of economic aspects of productive agricultural land fund in the territory of the city Municipality of Surčin: Contribution to economic history of the Municipality of Surčin
Abstract
This paper seeks to examine the economic activities that have been implemented in the area of today's Belgrade Municipality of Surčin, during the period from XVI to XXI century, and the same was constructed in order to study the economic history of the respective territory. In order for our observation to be complete, we have to be able to perceive all those important natural, political and social factors that, by their cause and consequences, have marked the economy of the region. In the time horizon of five centuries, the turbulent developments have left their distinctive mark. The winners and the defeated have taken turns in terms of the executive power, which after establishing, have brought their policy, the economic framework and rules. The work seeks to identify whether the winners or the defeated could manage both the country and the economy more effectively by explaining that through the observation of certain segments of economic activity. One of these segments is land, which, since agriculture appeared to this day, has been the subject of production or the economic activity of people who, by means of their work and a natural resource - land, create a new value - a product, or goods. With this paper, we are trying to come up with answers to when, and how productive the farmland have been made bigger, or decreased, and how the productive land fund reflected the economic situation in the observed territory. The paper is primarily concerned with macroeconomic analysis.
