Till today, the duration of antibiotic therapy for community-acquired pneumonia (EP) remains a subject of debate. In different clinical guidelines the duration of antibiotic administration varies. Meanwhile, there is growing evidence that short-term antibiotic regimens for non-severe respiratory infections of the lower respiratory tract seem attractive and promising.
