Technological progress means that employees have to adapt to new requirements. Along with the development of new IT tools, we are observing the fourth industrial revolution, i.e. the implementation of Industry 4.0. The factory workers of the future face new kinds of tasks. Changes in the demographic structure clearly indicate that the average age of an employee will increase. For this reason, tools that support employees, especially older employees, in terms of cognitive skills and adaptation to the requirements of Industry 4.0 will be necessary. The article presents an example of such a tool in the form of virtual reality training
