Dilemas y puntos ciegos en el discurso distópico actual: aproximación a una nueva tipología del género. 1 Dilemmas and blind spots in the current dystopian discourse: an approach to a new genre typology.
Abstract
El creciente interés suscitado por la distopía entre investigadores y público en los últimos años ha permitido la apertura de nuevas y sugerentes vías para su análisis y estudio. En este artículo se propone una aproximación al fenómeno a partir de la consideración del poderoso potencial emocional desplegado por lo distópico y la diversidad de reacciones y comportamientos -muchos de ellos, inadvertidosque su discurso provoca entre la audiencia. A partir de dichas respuestas, se propone una nueva clasificación del género distópico fundada en la pluralidad que funciones que, a juicio del autor, puede llegar a desempeñar y que va más allá de la vocación crítica que unánimemente se le suele venir otorgando. The growing interest aroused by dystopia among researchers and the public in recent years has allowed the opening of new and suggestive lines for its analysis and study. This article proposes an approach to the phenomenon based on the consideration of the powerful emotional potential displayed by the dystopian and the diversity of reactions and behaviors - many of them unnoticed - that its discourse provokes among the audience. Based on these responses, a new classification of the dystopian genre is proposed based on the plurality of functions that, in the author's opinion, it can perform and that goes beyond the critical vocation that is usually unanimously granted.
