Rapports de force et crise de l’autorité dans le mouvement Freinet entre 1945 et 1968 : quand l’horizontalité questionne la verticalité
Abstract
Can we lead and should we drive a direction in a pedagogical movement that itself questions certain forms of authority? To answer this question, this text addresses the question of power relations and the crisis of authority in the context of the development of the Freinet Movement between 1945 and 1968. This article shows how, structurally, the institutional context of pedagogy during this period make this work of direction and coordination necessary, while, conjuncturally, the fact that social relations between adults and between adults and children underwent significant changes calls into question this necessity and the possibility of embodying a tradition.
