Immigration and psycho-social health: building bridges, creating networks / Inmigración y salud psicosocial: creando puentes, formando redes

Abstract

This paper aims to contribute to the creation of bridges between entities, working groups and professionals working in the field of psychosocial care with the migrant population and their family system, on the basis of mental health and prevention of migration failure. It is based on results of work in psychological attention, both at the individual level and the associative, in studies already conducted as well as information provided by other entities. The creation of networks of interdisciplinary work in the countries concerned with immigration will enable a higher quality care, optimizing resources through networking and monitoring of the transnational family.
