THE RELEVANCE OF INNOVATION IN REVERSAL LOGISTICS: A CASE STUDY IN A METALLURGY

Abstract

This article analyzes the influence of innovation in the implementation of reverse logistics in the reuse of its raw material, the financial impact on the organization and the aid in the reduction of internal processes, through a case study in a metallurgical company of injection of plastic components. The research shows that, if well managed, the integration between innovation, reverse logistics and sustainable management in the organization becomes efficient and effective in the implemented strategy, making it possible to reduce costs within the organization and increase the competitiveness of the company. The investments necessary for the implementation of the actions were absorbed in approximately 13 months as indicated in this work, also allowing changes in the internal process of the company, which enabled its implementation.
