SPECIAL ISSUE : "Integrative medicine in oncology: another step forward" MINDFULNESS-BASED INTERVENTIONS IN ONCOLOGY: A NARRATIVE REVIEW

Abstract

Mindfulness is being used increasingly in various aspects of cancer patients’ management. Currently available data suggests signi cant bene ts of mindfulness practices in the management the side-effects of treatment, intensity of cancer-related symptoms, and the cost-effectiveness compared to conventional contemporary management strategies. In this review article, we present clinical trial data showing the bene ts of mindfulness in various aspects of cancer management as well as techniques that have been commonly used in this practice.
