The article is intended to bring into scientific consideration a new historical source — the “Notes” of the Swiss teacher of the Emperor Alexander I F.-C. La Harpe. This source appeared as a result of a thorough work of La Harpe by commenting his correspondence with Alexander and contains many unique details and judgements about Russian court at the end of 18th — beginning of the 19th c. as well as a start of “alexandrine” liberal reforms.
