Turismo sustentável: oportunidade de empreendedorismo e conservação ambiental
Abstract
One of the paramount challenges of the 21st century is unquestionably to reconcile economic growth and environmental conservation. This is already taking place in some areas of the state of São Paulo, where enterprises that depend on benefiting from natural resources - in particular the various types of rural tourism - are already superseding activities that spoil the environment. In such territories - which this article calls conservationist zones - nature is no longer an obstacle, but rather the major trump card to economic growth.
