Philosophy and literature coexist in the works of Mishima Yukio and, therefore, the objective of this small article is to analyze the work of the Japanese writer from a philosophical point of view. Thus, we will focus on the tetralogy The Sea of Fertility, the last work written by this author. There are many philosophical aspects that we can find in these four novels, from influences of Western philosophy to multiple aspects of Eastern traditions. Although, we will focus only on the principles of Yogācāra Buddhism, which we will point out in a general way.
