A case report: Malignant transformation of a neurenteric cyst with intracranial metastases mimicking neurocysticercosis
Abstract
Intracranial Neurenteric Cysts (INC) are rare congenital lesions. There are only four cases of those cysts with malignant transformation in the literature. We report a case of 33-year-old man with malignant INC transformation to low-grade mucinous adenocarcinoma. Combination of minimally invasive surgery to make a correct diagnosis, decompress the brain and modern radiotherapy can significantly improve the prognosis of the course of the disease.
