Verbal metaphors of the German language: influence of the aspectual value on the interpretation

Abstract

In this article a linguistic study of the German Language metaphors is presented. The study focus on a corpus description of real metaphorical examples, of the German Language, taken from the web. The central aim of this study was to develop a gravitational system of combinatorial sorts of verbal metaphors of the German Language. From the data analysis and description , it is possible to infer that the regularity that may be identified in the use of metaphorical verbal sentences of the German language is anchored in the aspectual value of the verbal situation.
