Assessing the Possibilities of Climate Restriction and Its Effects on Military Action Planning (Case Study: Azerbaijan Region)
Abstract
As a climatic factor, the field of view constraints plays an effective role in planning military operations, logistics operations, targeting and targeting, flight guidance, concealment, and so on. On the other hand, due to the special geographical location of the Azerbaijan region, defense planning and recognition of its climatic variables from a military point of view is one of the important components in planning and planning military operations in the future. Therefore, in this study, in order to evaluate the probability of climate limitation and its effects on the planning of military activities in the northwest of the country, all synoptic stations in the region were studied and 19 stations with a statistical period of more than 30 years were selected. Considering that the field of view less than 4500 meters affect most operations of military units, the results showed that among the stations in the region of Azerbaijan, the most unfavorable field of view compared to other stations occurs in Ardabil station; As in the months of October, November, December and March, the probability of unfavorable field of view in these areas reaches about 45% and more. In contrast, the lowest probability of unfavorable field of view during the year in the region of Azerbaijan with 7% is related to Khorramdareh, Piranshahr and Khalkhal stations. In these stations, in any of the months of the year, the unfavorable field of view does not reach above 20%. In most stations in the region, the probability of unfavorable field of view for military activities in June, July, August, September and October is less than 5%.
