Do lugar da educação para a cidadania no currículo
Abstract
This article approaches the problematic of citizenship education (CE), first with a brief history of the multiple forms CE adopted in several educational systems since the beginning of the XX century until the educational reforms of the 80´s and 90´s. Then, we reconceptualize the place of CE in the curriculum, recognizing the identity records and the different roles it can play in the curricular plans, wich leads to a reflection about the status and place of citizenship education in a new curriculum.
