In the current study, it was aimed to determine the information of the parents of with regard to the sexual development and education of their children. The working group of the study comprised of parents having a child of three – five year old attending to a preschool education institution acting under the Ministry of Education in the city of Karabük in the educational year of 2014-2015. The data of the study were collected through “„Sexual Development and Education Parents Query Form” developed by the researchers. Experimental methods were used in the research. Some of the results obtained in the study are as follows: all of the parents included in the study defined sexual education from a one-way perspective, but stated that sexual education is necessary. Most of the parents thought that it is necessary to start sexual education at the age of 3-6 and that this education should be given to girls by their mothers and to boys by their fathers. While 65.6% parents expressed that they did not have any education with regard to the child‟s sexual education, 75% of them pointed out that they were able to talk to their child over sexual education very easily and they talked about the difference between genital organs of girls and boys and the hygiene and cleaning rules of special places. They concluded that they used such methods of recommendation as keeping the child under control, keeping them away from insecure people and surroundings, not to allow anybody to touch to their sexual organs except for their parents and shouting in such cases.
